Business Engagement Specialist Location Mount Laurel, NJ Job Type Full Time (35 hours) Job Number 01055 Department WDI/Career Success Solutions Opening Date 03/16/2023 Description Benefits Questions Description The Business Engagement Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships within a particular College with Deans, faculty; as well as with local, regional, and national industry partners for mutual benefit. This role will have primary responsibility for maintain current partnerships and establishing new partnerships with local and regional public and private sectors. This position is also responsible for marketing all RCBC educational opportunities, promoting corporate training opportunities, and the development of business advisory boards to help address skills gaps in the workforce and for the creation and establishment of new College offerings. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison for one of the RCBC Schools. Work collaboratively with Deans, Program Chairs and other faculty to facilitate academic involvement in business advisory board development and collaboration with program development. Supports the coordination of public events that diverse constituency. These events include but are not limited to industry advisory panels, roundtable discussions and information sessions. Collaborate with the Director of Business Engagement to create promotional materials for industry. Provide outreach and recruitment for corporate training and other non-credit educational opportunities for employees related to the assigned College or industry. Provide job placement as required by grants and the Burlington County Workforce Development Board contract, as needed for the assigned industry group. Disseminate informational materials to improve awareness of internal and external opportunities. Other assigned duties as assigned. OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community. Minimum Qualifications Education Required: Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline required. Master's degree or additional credentials preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required degree. Experience Required: A minimum of (5) years progressively responsible experience working with highly diverse community stakeholders, students, businesses and job seekers., preferably in an educational setting. Experience in sales. Experience developing and maintaining strategic partnerships and alliances; and developing new collaborative partnerships Experience working with conducting outreach demonstrated experience using data for decision-making. Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements Demonstrates understanding of the community college mission and practices an open-door policy. Working knowledge of coordinating services with multiple agencies, business, and educational partners. Excellent written, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Has basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Exhibits strong skills in building relationships and possesses a creative and innovative approach to problem solving. Must have the ability to follow established protocols, have private transportation and the ability to work a varied schedule as needed. Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and work independently with limited supervision. Must be detail oriented. Additional Information INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS: Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
