The Business Development Lead (Life Sciences) is responsible for performing the following job duties:

Job Accountabilities:
  • Drive Growth Initiatives:
    • Spearhead strategic growth initiatives to expand market reach and increase revenue streams.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the physical and life sciences sectors.
  • Forge Strategic Partnerships:
    • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with industry leaders to enhance collaborative opportunities and drive mutual success.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for industry collaborations, overseeing negotiation and execution of partnership agreement.
  • Coordinate Project Operations:
    • Provide leadership in coordinating project operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines.
    • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor Industry Trends:
    • Keep up with industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to inform strategic decision-making and opportunity identification.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential partners, and new business opportunities.
  • Represent Organization:
    • Represent EIT at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote brand awareness and establish strategic relationships.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, customers, and investors.
  • Analyze Results and Contribute to Planning:
    • Prepare comprehensive reports and analysis on partnership performance, including key metrics, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.
    • Provide input and insights to inform long-term strategic planning and business development initiatives.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Preferred Education: Candidates with a PhD in a relevant field, such as Biology, Engineering, Genomics, or a related discipline, will be highly preferred. The PhD focus area should ideally align with EIT's industry and strategic objectives, enhancing the candidate's expertise in driving business development and strategic growth initiatives within the specific domain.

Preferred Experience : A minimum of 5-7 years in relevant experience in business development, project management, strategic partnerships in physical and life sciences technologies or a related field is preferred to demonstrated proficiency and competence in the role.

Preferred Field of Expertise : Demonstrated expertise in driving business development initiatives, crafting strategic plans, and identifying growth opportunities within the physical and life science sectors.

Salary: $95,544 - $165,000, DOE
