CGS is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial business development professional to join our team in the Washington, DC area. This is a high-growth opportunity to join our rapidly growing team in a dynamic role working in collaboration with our Capability Teams and Account Teams focused on primarily the Homeland Market.

The Business Development Executive is responsible for growth across the sector, integrating and coordinating our new business go-to-market approach. This position will focus on the following accounts Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and Department of State.

As a Business Development Executive, you will:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to Homeland Security account clients.

  • Create informational presentations; present and deliver information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.

  • Brief executive clients on Capgemini domain experience and capabilities.

  • Collaborate with Capgemini executives on strategic new business development captures.

  • Identify, qualify, and capture strategic business opportunities while coordinating business generation activities.

  • Establish and maintain a 12-month pipeline of qualified opportunities to meet business and market goals using CRM software, averaging $200M+

  • Lead end-to-end opportunity identification, capture, and proposal efforts of $25M-$200M.

  • Track and report Business Development costs and Business Development research activities.

  • Actively meet with small businesses, software vendors, technology providers, and other partners to formulate successful teaming partnerships.

  • Lead the implementation of bid strategies, proposal approaches and technical solutions, and written proposals for RFI/RFQ/RFP.

  • Create capture plans and drive capture activities such as client/opportunity research, RFI submittal, requirements analysis, competitive analysis, teaming, vehicle shaping, win strategy development, key differentiators, and solution facilitation.

  • Resource and lead proposal responses in collaboration with our Capability Teams and Account Teams.

  • Develop Marketing plan and coordinate marketing, conference, and white paper development with internal and external contributors.

  • Keep to up to date on market trends and complementary Capgemini offerings and capabilities

  • Engage with Capgemini parent company resources (300,000 worldwide) and establish relationships to bring commercial and international expertise and capabilities to Federal/Civilian clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain an government clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Deep relationships within DHS and thorough understanding of its mission; consistent track record of engaging with mid-level and senior officials.

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business development activities (e.g. supporting account and capture plans and/or government proposals).

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; to include expertise in setting and managing customer expectations, presenting, and interacting with executive-level clients and federal government leadership.

  • Direct experience with the following service offering: digital transformation, cloud, cybersecurity, PaaS, SaaS, AI/ML, advanced analytics.

  • Exceptional analytic skills with the demonstrated ability to take complex client and vendor concepts and articulate them to audiences of varying perception levels.

  • Knowledge of end-to-end capture process, proposal process, and delivery lifecycle.

  • Strong understanding of FAR processes and procedures.
