Overview of the Business Analyst role:
- Analyze and document business process flows and system data flows
- Function as a key contributor to a software development team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new feature functional designs, functional requirements, limitations, and implementations of new initiatives
- Apply baseline understanding of performing data imports/exports, standard API's and other common application development concepts to technical and functional discussions
- Become the functional subject matter expert for the businesses supported as it pertains to systems and applications
Preferred Qualifications for the Business Analyst
- 2+ years working in a software development team preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, math, business, or equivalent experience and certifications
- Experience working in project management applications such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ServiceNow, Zendesk or similar
- Experience in energy supply chain, specifically as it pertains to the movement of commodities such as oil, natural gas, refined products a plus
