Washington County's Land Use & Transportation is now hiring a Building Services Supervisor to join the Building Services Division. The Position Under administrative direction from the Building Official, the Building Services Supervisor directs, leads, manages, supervises, and coordinates the activities and operations of the Plans Examiner section within the Building Services Division. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a progressive leader and creative problem solver with strong interpersonal and managerial skills. They have a track record of successful supervisory experience, including training and performance evaluation; knowledge of commercial, industrial, and residential construction materials and methods; experience with building permit procedures, plan review procedures, and zoning reviews; and the ability to maintain accurate office files and records, and assist in preparing and administering budgets. To review the complete classification and list of knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position, follow this link: Building Services Supervisor.Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree with a major in engineering, construction management, or closely related field; AND Two (2) years of experience as a lead and/or supervisor in construction or inspection or review, processing, and examination of building or residential plans; OR A minimum of four (4) years of experience performing journey level work in inspections or review, processing, and examination of building or residential plans. AND Two (2) years of experience as a lead and/or supervisor in construction or inspection or review, processing, and examination of building or residential plans.
