Job Details

We are looking for engineers who have mastered the fine line between maintenance and customer service, who understand that our customers are our priority and why their jobs are so important.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial building operation maintenance and engineering
• Experience in mechanical/electrical/HVAC/BAS systems for commercial buildings
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing and general repair
• GED or high school diploma
• Technically proficient and able to use a computer, tablet, smart phone
• Customer service oriented attitude

Primary responsibilities include:

• Primary liaison and representative for management and ownership, the ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Perform regular evaluations of building systems functionality.
• Handle minor repairs, preventive maintenance, and service requests concerning building machinery, tenant areas, and both internal and external building components.
• Supervise mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems of the property; communicate any deficiencies to the Operations team and Property Manager.
• Address tenant concerns regarding safety, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and environmental issues through personal interaction and work order systems.
• Take a proactive approach to building maintenance by creating and managing an ongoing task list for the property management team.
• Support in the formulation of new standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required.
• Maintain effective communication with Operations Support personnel and Property Managers.
• Serve as the primary contact for vendors assigned to specific properties. Building Engineers will be responsible for overseeing vendor check-ins/outs, guiding them to their designated work areas, and documenting their work thoroughly.
• Assist with inspections of fire panels and fire extinguishers, ensuring tenants are informed prior to scheduled inspections.
• Handle miscellaneous tasks such as waste disposal and exterior lock box inspections.
• Enforce a safe work environment and ensure compliance with company safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and client-specific safety protocols.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
