Bridge Inspection Team Leader Department: Transportation Employment Type: Full Time Location: Toledo, OH Description The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. Due to MSG's continued growth in our Transportation Division, a new opening is available for a Bridge Engineer in our Maumee, Ohio office. Key Responsibilities Primarily responsible for providing in-service bridge Inspection Team Leader (ITL) duties, field visit planning, load ratings, inventory updates, and other related tasks. All work will be consistent with the requirements of the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS), the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), and other regulatory state and local agencies. An intermediate understanding of bridge design & inspection is required. Secondary to this responsibility will be assisting with bridge design, plan development, and related tasks, as needed. This may include preparing bridge layouts, material quantity calculations, retaining walls, hydraulics, cost estimates, construction specs, plan reviews, etc. Project assignments that will be primarily located in Ohio, West Virginia, and Michigan with additional out of state assignments possible. Candidate may potentially serve as the contact for client, other design professionals, and contractors.
