TITLE: Brake Press Operator

SHIFT: 6am - 2:30pm M-F
We are looking for a Brake Press Operator to join our growing team
In this position, you will be responsible for operating brake press equipment and maintaining the machine and surrounding area.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Chooses correct dies for the part material and size of bend
- Determines brake press stroke by material bend and thickness
- Select backstop to optimal dims per print
- Situates workpiece onto brake press by hand, per print
May need to partner with another individual for larger pieces
- Take off parts from the machine and examine each print
QUALIFICATIONS - Prior experience utilizing a brake press is strongly preferred
- Will consider machine shop experience and ability to be taught to run a brake press.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Trade school with mechanical training is highly preferred
- At least 2+ years of experience in a fabrication/manufacturing environment
- Must be able to interpret and read blueprints
- Working knowledge of basic measuring tools
- Must have the ability to operate power hand tools such as a pneumatic grinders
- Prior experience utilizing overheard cranes and a fork truck is preferred
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
