Always adhere to our standards in work performed and relations with our clients. Maintain communication with crews to achieve an integrated team approach, giving our customers best class product and service. As the Boom Operator, you are responsible for maintaining a properly organized job from start to finish. Maintenance of equipment is performed on a prescribed schedule basis and all maintenance/repair needs are communicated promptly to the Shop Coordinator. Equipment will be operated in a safe, efficient and effective manner, taking care not to use equipment improperly. Position Responsibilities: The Boom Operator's main purpose is to use a mobile crane to lift, move, position and reposition loads; concrete forms and supplies. Typical duties for this job include maintaining tools, driving trucks, operating boom and collaborating with other workers. Must demonstrate stamina dexterity, physical strength, good driving skills and teamwork. Operation of boom truck and associated equipment Coordinate product movement activities with other workers to ensure continuous flow of product. Comply with strict safety standards issued by multiple regulatory agencies and procedural documentation. Operate aerial boom on commercial and residential projects. Perform preventative maintenance Complete timesheet and job sheet documentation Use excellent quality of workmanship at all times Comply with contract and Easton Companies Safety, Quality, Traffic Management, and environmental systems at all times Maintain excellent relationships with crews in order to improve current contract performance and maximize the possibility of securing future profitable work Requirements: Valid Driver's License (required) Education: High school diploma or GED (minimum). Certification from vocational school or completion of apprenticeship a plus. Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience within the road construction industry. Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience operating a boom truck Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Working Conditions: This position involves work at construction sites where duties will be performed both indoors and outdoors. Both cold and warm conditions will be experienced, including inclement weather. Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines. Hours are often 10 or more hours a day, 50 or more hours a week, as work demands. Work hours can be seasonal. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Knowledge of heavy equipment. Understanding of computerized controls and electronics. Ability to work unsupervised Candidate must have manual dexterity and attention to detail. Good communication skills and problem-solving ability. Very good physical strength and stamina, able to lift up to 70 lbs.
