Summary:

Bookkeeper needed for a large not-for-profit organization located in Nelsonville, Ohio. This position is responsible for:

Responsible for accounts receivable processing including invoicing, reporting, and processing

payments

Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss reports

Responsible for accounts payable functions including invoice processing, distribution of

payments, and record keeping

Post transactions weekly from Points of Sale

Prepare and produce financial reports for staff and board of directors as needed

Monthly reconciliations with Development and Events/Sales departments

Prepare and deliver bank deposits

Maintain and account for point of sale cash drawers and petty cash

Organize and maintain fiscal records and prepare documents for independent audit

Maintain files for rental and performance contracts

Perform related duties as assigned

This is a direct-hire, part-time position, hiring immediately. The schedule is flexible and might vary based on events and projects but approximately 20 hours per week (potential growth into 30 hours per week down the road). Starting pay is $20/hour.

Qualifications:

Trustworthy and detail-oriented

Prior bookkeeping and/or other relevant accounting experience

Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and Microsoft applications

Flexibility to be able to work at larger events to oversee transactions
