Responsibilities:

Assess and monitor patients undergoing bone marrow transplants

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team

Monitor and manage potential complications and side effects of bone marrow transplantation

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Document patient care activities and communicate effectively with healthcare team members

Provide education and support to patients and their families

Adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care

Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge

Requirements

Requirements:

Valid RN license in the state of employment

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Bone Marrow Transplant unit

Experience with stem cell collection and infusion

Knowledge of bone marrow transplantation procedures and protocols

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Flexibility to travel to different locations as needed

Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care

BLS Certification

ACLS Certification

NIHSS Certification
