Boiler Service Technician Job Summary
W are seeking a Boiler Sevice Technician to perform service and repair activities on natural gas and light oil-fired industrial heat process equipment and boilers. You will also perform electrical work, start-ups, service calls, installation, removals, training, and documentation on boilers, process burners, feedwater systems, and air pollution control equipment.
Boiler Service Technician Responsibilities
- Perform independent start-up of boilers and related equipment up to 1,000 HP (34,000 pph)
- Assists Field Service Technicians in conducting field service calls to perform start-ups, troubleshooting, or other service-related activities
- Assist customers determine the nature of boiler specific problems, provide equipment training, explain services and operations, and provide engineering support
- Document field service reports on work performed, nature of problems, hours worked, etc.
- Maintains strong customer relationships
- Seek new sales opportunities and equipment improvements
Boiler Service Technician Position Requirements
- High school diploma and 10 years of related advanced schooling or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience performing boiler testing, maintenance, and service
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in industrial steam and power plant operations
- Proficient with setup and burner tuning with "packaged combustion control systems" such as the Siemens LMV, Honeywell ControlLinks, and Fireye PPC
- Proficient with setup and burner tuning with "packaged PCE PLC based combustion control systems" through pre-configured HMI screens
- Valid Driver's License
