Work Shift: Day Shift Time Type: Full time Department: CC017315 Healthcare Technology Management Summary: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., On-Premises The Biomedical Technician III is a highly skilled and experienced technician who can manage the service requirements for a wide variety of complex medical equipment, networked medical systems, and radiographic devices. The Technician III has comprehensive knowledge of practices, procedures, and environment of care standards so that competent and courteous service is delivered in a safe and reliable manner. Additional Information: Required Education: Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience Recommended Education: Required Work Experience: Related Field - 4 years of experience Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: Recommended Certifications: Description 1. Troubleshoots and inspects diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment. 2. Provides service support for standard and complex patient care equipment. 3. Provides technical information at construction meetings for medical device installation planning. 4. Manages small or large scale projects with regards to medical equipment or networked medical systems. 5. Proficiently uses test equipment, hand tools, service manuals and online documentation. 6. Prioritizes work according to availability of backups, criticality of service, and customer's expectations. 7. Provides comprehensive service support with minimal administrative direction. 8. Designs or modifies device PM checklists and schedules to be effective in preventing failure while ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. 9. Documents service activity for assigned areas in the medical equipment database. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
