We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Billing Analyst to join our team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our billing process, from invoicing to collections. This includes the coordination and resolution of any billing issues, claims, and discrepancies. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving our billing systems and processes, ensuring they are efficient, accurate, and compliant with regulations. Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete billing process, including the creation and distribution of invoices, tracking payments, and resolving any billing issues or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable departments to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Utilize 3PL logistics and transportation data to accurately calculate and apply fuel costs.
• Handle collections efforts for unpaid or overdue invoices, working directly with clients to resolve any issues or disputes.
• Prepare and analyze billing reports, using tools such as Excel, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables to identify trends, issues, or opportunities for improvement.
• Process claims and manage the bill of lading process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant.
• Perform 3-way match to validate invoices against purchase orders and goods received.
• Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to improve and streamline the billing process.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a Billing Analyst role or similar, ideally within a 3PL logistics or transportation environment.
• Strong knowledge of billing processes and systems, including invoicing, collections, claims, and bill of lading.
• Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including reconciliation and 3-way match.
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes and manage client relationships effectively.
• Knowledge of fuel cost calculations in a logistics or transportation context would be an advantage.
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field would be beneficial.
