Bilingual Medical Assistant

The VSP Medical Assistant works closely with providers under their direct supervision to: manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow, perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type, room patients. Gathers and enters patient information into electronic medical records and identifies and carries our HEDIS and STARS quality measures. Takes vital signs, administers medication, performs diagnostic tests, collects specimens including phlebotomy, and maintains equipment and patient care areas.

Required Qualifications
Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program
Current CPR certification
Bilingual in English and Spanish

Medical Assistant Working hours:

Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM available working days and hours

Local travel is required; Mileage is reimbursed

Note: This is a Variable Staffing Position meaning we will guarantee you 32 hours per week but you could be scheduled to work 40 hours per week.
