Behavioral Health Therapist

Mosaic Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Therapist for our new School-Based Health Center in Rushville, NY. This position offers flexibility to either work a 12-month or 10-month schedule, which would follow the school calendar. Hours would generally be 7:30am to 4:00pm.

The Behavioral Health Therapist is responsible for providing psychotherapy in an integrated primary care setting within the Marcus Whitman Middle/High School. The majority of the caseload will be high school and middle school students, although there is also potential to see elementary students as well. Candidates should enjoy working with adolescents and have a passion for helping rural and under-served communities. Because this is a new program in a new setting, program development experience is also preferred.

Education/Experience:

Master's Degree in Social Work

2 years' experience in mental health treatment preferred

Licensed as LMSW or LCSW in New York

In Fall 2023, Mosaic Health won a competitive grant process to establish a new school-based health center site. This new School Based Health Center at Marcus Whitman Middle/High School will offer medical, integrated behavioral health, and dental services to all students in the district. While Mosaic Health already operates a school-based portable dentistry program, this is the first permanent school-based site. School Based Center Staff will work closely with the Mosaic Health integrated care team at our existing location in Rushville.

Pay Information:

LMSW range $53,700 to $59,000

LCSW range $69,000 to $72,800
