CARESTLHEALTH is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving St. Louis communities and school-based operations. CareSTL Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Coordinator. POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in coordination of Behavioral Health care of patients under direction of Director of Behavioral Health by performing the following duties ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Behavioral Health Coordinator may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons. Assists with scheduling patients into Behavioral Health provider appointments, SUD lab and/or procedures as directed by provider or nurse. Assists with rescheduling patients with providers when patient appointment was missed or cancelled. Conducts reminder calls to patients when needed. BH Coordinator may coordinate referrals patients to community services, treatment programs, peer wellness program and/or Health Recovery programs as directed by provider or nurse staff. Escorts patients to throughout office to navigate various services (provider visit, nurse visit, lab, pharmacy) Assists with triaging psychiatric and behavioral health provider task box discerning which calls need to be sent to crisis nurse team, primary care, or psychiatric. BH Coordinator contacts Psych./ BH Supervisor, or designee, with any questions Other duties as assigned. Assists with supportive listening and encouragement to patients. BH Asst will report any concerning assessment to Director of Behavioral Health. Develop productivity(scheduling) and billing reports weekly QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent, one to two years related experience in medical office and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification in CPR and OSHA training. Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Work Processing software, Electronic Medical Records software, and Spreadsheet design software Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge: Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for adequate care. Knowledge of behavioral health management, control and safety standards. Skills: Skill in assisting with appropriate emergency procedures. Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously. Abilities: Ability to perform SDOH assessments to treatments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and diverse patient populations. Additional Information: Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 11 paid holidays per year. Full benefits package. Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
