Summary: Exciting opportunity to provide new models of care for walk-in/urgent care access including days, evenings and weekends. The new CHA CBHC Malden program provides behavioral health evaluation, resource referral, and initial treatment services for individuals of all ages. As part of CHA's Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) initiative, we are looking to add clinical expertise for all ages to our new behavioral health urgent care in Malden. Specifically we are looking for clinicians with expertise in evaluation and triage of patients in psychiatric distress, along with experience working with families and making referrals to specific programs designed to provide care and support to this. The diversity of the patient population served by the Cambridge Health Alliance, in addition to the treatment modalities utilized requires interdisciplinary expertise and collaboration. More specifically we're looking for the ability to develop rapport with diverse patients having mental and/or substance use disorders. Job Requirements: Ability to assess patients for DSM5 disorders utilizing an understanding of normal child and adolescent development and a strengths-based parenting/family and the recovery of care for adults assessment model. Skill and prior experience in making triage decisions; in assessing risk including suicide, violence, and abuse/neglect; and in applying the multi-axial diagnostic classification accurately. We're looking for the ability to conceptualize individualized treatment plans utilizing a strengths-based approach with emphasis on improving symptoms and function within a developmental context using a full range of appropriate treatment modalities (such as crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, family-based therapy, supportive therapy, intermittent therapy, and/or behavior therapy). Ability to provide clinical care to patients commonly seen in primary care and specialty mental health settings (including core disorders, such as mood or anxiety disorders; disruptive behavior disorders, adjustment disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder,and/or substance use; severe and persistent mental disorders; social skills deficits and developmental delays; and family system conflicts associated with parenting dilemmas.) Qualifications: Education/Training: Masters degree Social Work or Mental Health Counseling Licensure: Current MA licensure as LMHC, LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker), or LCSW (Licensed Certified Social Worker) considered with eligibility for licensure of LICSW within two years. When required, must be credentialed by the CHA Medical Staff for practice in relevant clinical practice areas, and should ideally be CANS certified and familiar with conducting initial CANS assessments. Bilingual in Portuguese, Spanish, or Haitian Creole is strongly preferred. Experience in short-term and behaviorally-oriented therapies (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused-CBT, dialectical behavior therapy, parent management training) is preferred. Expertise in neurodevelopment, gender and sexuality, and early psychosis are also preferred.
