We are seeking a Behavior Technician to support our Vista Care Intellectual & Developmental Disability Services operations in the Sheboygan and Oshkosh areas. SALARY & BENEFITS: Hourly Pay: $20/hour Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance Short term & long term disability Generous PTO Policy 401k Plan Growth-minded company with opportunity for career development & advancement Leadership team that is dedicated to our company value of "Balance", which includes work/life balance Mission and values driven company culture AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: The Behavior Technician reports to the Director of Clinical Services and is responsible for providing behavior intervention services to individuals with skill deficits and maladaptive behaviors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess individuals served to create or update Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) in Adult Family Homes (AFHs) or Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRFs). Identify individuals' needs, evaluate problems, and provide the appropriate services. Conduct training on BSPs through new hire training for new staff or ongoing training for current staff. Must be familiar with/understand restrictive measures in Wisconsin. Effectively train and motivate staff to follow Nonviolent Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI) protocols. Maintain professional communications with individuals supported, families, and staff. Maintain confidentiality of individuals' information. Document mental health services according to applicable regulations and payer expectations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 3 to 5 years of experience with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). 1 to 2 years in a CBRF or AFH setting. Experience with restrictive measures required. Must possess a valid drivers license as this position commutes between the Sheboygan and Oshkosh areas. Willingness to be a certified instructor through Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or must already be an instructor. Bachelor's degree in Human Services preferred. Familiarity with behavior intervention techniques preferred. Familiarity writing Behavior Support Plans strongly preferred. If you are interested in this position, please apply today.
