The BCBA will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, training caregivers, and overseeing the implementation of behavior support strategies within the home environment. Competencies: (6) Ethics/ Integrity: 25% Job Knowledge: 15% Person-Centered Supports: 15% Promoting Physical and Emotional Well-Being: 15% Justice, Fairness and Equity: 15% Interpersonal Skills: 15% Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA's): Utilize evidence-based assessment tools and methodologies to identify the function(s) of challenging behaviors exhibited by individuals in the home setting. Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans: Design comprehensive behavior intervention plans based on the findings of the FBA, incorporating proactive strategies, teaching replacement behaviors, and utilizing positive reinforcement techniques. Provide Direct Consultation: Offer hands-on guidance and support to caregivers and other relevant stakeholders in implementing behavior support strategies effectively within the home environment. Training and Education: Provide training sessions for caregivers, family members, and other individuals involved in the care of the individual, focusing on teaching behavior management techniques, data collection methods, and strategies for promoting skill acquisition and independence. Collaboration and Communication: Maintain regular communication with caregivers, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care and consistency in implementing behavior support plans. Data Collection and Analysis: Establish data collection systems to monitor individual progress and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support interventions. Analyze data to make informed decisions regarding program modifications and adjustments to intervention strategies. Monitor and Adjust Treatment Plans: Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to monitor individual progress and make necessary adjustments to behavior support plans based on observed outcomes and changing needs. Maintain Compliance: Ensure adherence to ethical standards and professional guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board(BACB) and other relevant regulatory bodies. Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organization standards. Receive direct supervision from the Vice President of Behavior Analytic Services. Specific duties and requirements may vary depending on the needs of the organization and populations served. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences, Special Education, or related field. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed in the State of Connecticut (LBA) Two years of experience within Behavioral Health Services and/or with persons with autism. Two years of experience assisting with the development of behavioral programs for persons with disabilities. Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and must maintain a satisfactory driving record. Depending upon the assignment must be able to work in a variety of settings, weather conditions, and locations. Must maintain PMT and CPR certification. Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office and the Internet. Communicate clearly in oral and written form on a constant basis. Work independently; utilize good judgment and possess a strong sense of initiative. Work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Move and lift weights up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis. Requires frequent viewing of computer screen, continual eye coordination and hand/wrist movement and finger manipulation.
