The Beach Activities Attendant is focused on guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and profitability. The Beach Activities Attendant offers personalized recommendations and assistance in booking events, beach activities, tours, attractions, retail sales, and other services.

Responsibilities:
    • Provide each guest with a professional and courteous greeting and outstanding guest service.
    • Build rapport with the guest and assist guest in selecting the product that matches their needs.
    • Responsible for retail sales.
    • Ensure guest safety.
    • Take responsibility for solving guest issues in a timely fashion with satisfaction and a sense of urgency. Follow up on issues to ensure that they are resolved
    • Be able to work in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or more and to stand for long periods of time.
    • Identify any safety hazards and stay in compliance with OSHA regulations.
    • Ensure company property is maintained and stored properly to reduce damage and loss.
    • Make sure storage area and public areas in guests' views are clean and organized.
    • Monitor and complete an accurate inventory of all company merchandise and equipment.
    • Facilitate the return of all damaged merchandise/equipment and monitor preventative maintenance and repair of damaged merchandise/equipment.
    • Ensure all property is secure at close of business.
    • Ensure proper accounting paperwork is turned in daily.
    • Ensure work stations are clean, organized, and free of dirt dust and trash.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively identify and fulfill guest needs.
  • Speaks, reads and writes in the English language; bilingual skills are also preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to and support change within the business.
  • Punctuality and professional appearance.
  • Knowledge of the local area and attractions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple duties and prioritize.
  • Proficient ability to operate computer and point-of-sale systems.
  • Must possess valid Hawaii State Liquor Card.
  • Must possess TB clearance.

Rate of pay: $18/hour
