Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Procurement Agent located in El Segundo, California. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting Phantom Works Space and Rapid Space Capability Proprietary Programs. The Supply Chain professional will be an integrated member of the Program teams in the development of new technology and capabilities. Position Responsibilities: Integrated member of the program team for early engagement in development of supplier requirements to sourcing, contract negotiations/execution and performance management Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies This position allows telecommuting/hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent, Buyer or equivalent More than 5 years of experience interpreting and/or enforcing contract terms More than 5 years of experience leading supplier contract negotiations Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher Expertise in FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) and compliance with internal policies and procedures Experience building strong business relationships and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated/proven experience utilizing good judgement, sense of urgency and has demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulator compliance, customer service and business integrity. Strong business acumen to effectively evaluate risks as it relates to the program objectives, Boeing and its Customers Typical Education / Experience : Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.). Relocation: This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
