Battlewatch Support Team Minimum Qualifications Summary Certification & Education N/a Experience Required 12 years prior military experience in an operations field. 3 years' experience using communication skills, both written and oral, to include preparation of written products for senior leader (general officer/flag officer/senior executive service level) use and the ability to communicate at all levels. Possess and maintain a current SECRET security clearance. Job Objective The purpose of this task is to provide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) trained with a high degree of relevant and current knowledge and situational awareness of SOF activities as well as other human and geo-political issues affecting SOCSOUTH plans and activities. Planning, capabilities development support, analysis are also needed to accomplish the SOCSOUTH mission. Responsibilities Provide 24/7, 365 days per year central notification and data-source center for crisis and significant non-routine events. Maintain Battlewatch section with 100% compliance, without using personnel from other sections to replace vacancies. Submit master shift schedule to COR by last day of each month for the following month. Prepare and execute routine daily reports on SOCSOUTH operations, personnel, and SOF laydown. Create, update, and disseminate daily reports including SITREPs, DEPREPs, PERSTAT, force laydown briefs, OPSUM, and daily ops primers. Maintain accurate records of personnel travel within AOR and track key leader locations. Document initial 5Ws reports accurately, providing responsive information on potential incidents. Notify command leadership with 100% compliance across spectrum of potential events. Support planning and execution of SOCSOUTH COOP training or real-world contingency missions, potentially requiring travel to alternate/contingency command locations during events like hurricane evacuation.
