Now Hiring - Basic Machine Operator (BMO) or Radiographer
Location: Bonita Springs, FL - On-site (9776 Bonita Beach Rd.)
Radiology Regional is one of the largest physician-driven diagnostic imaging providers, with 13 imaging centers, in Southwest Florida. We are seeking a basic machine operator with a passion to care for others in the communities we serve. For over 50 years we have earned trust and confidence because of their patient care experience.
Essential Duties for a Basic Machine Operator (BMO):
- Receives and follows directives and instructions from radiologists, diagnostic imaging center manager, and technical director to properly perform the position's functions.
- Calculates and selects proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, focal distance, etc., based on information such as patient age, physical condition, and suspected pathology.
- Schedules patient examinations according to physician's orders as directed.
- Explains proper preparation to patients prior to procedure.
- Develops mammography films and related dark room duties, in addition to understanding the CR system and equipment.

Requirements:
Basic Machine Operator Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must possess current State of Florida certification as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator to practice medical radiography.
- Must have completed the required hours of continuing education certification or annual period, to satisfy State of Florida requirements.
- CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Radiographer Job Requirements:
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent hospital-based program.
- Required: Current ARRT and State of Florida license.
- Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience Required: None
- Preferred: Radiography experience in an outpatient setting.
