The Role As part of our ongoing efforts to improve our product and development environment, we are investigating the use of AI tools to automate the upgrade process. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to research and proto-type several upgrade automation tools to drive improvements in our upgrade process. You will: Collaborate with the team to define requirements, investigate various tools, prototype and present recommendations Use GitHub for version control and team collaboration Implement proof of concept based Looking into the tools which can help our clients of Business Solutions upgrade to the new releases. Research and learn the potential tools, implement several proof of concept with the chosen tools to show the values by upgrading a Business Solutions product from one version to the next, and then evaluate the effectiveness of the tools. One of the tools to be considered: OpenRewrite. Work with the team to understand the UAT, GitHub, Jira and participate in the daily scrum. Share the findings and implement the proof of concepts Qualifications Enrollment or recent graduation from a program in Computer Science, or a related field, with a keen interest in data analysis and machine learning. Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university Strong problem-solving skills that translate to working, maintainable software Proficient in Java/Python Familiar with basic Unix commands Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent analytical skills Team player with ability to collaborate effectively A self-starter with the ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience in CI/CD is a plus Choose to be different.
