Job Description

Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way.

Responsible for the preparation of desserts and all baked goods for the cafeteria, satellite units and catering services. This requires producing a large volume of baked goods daily, maintaining a superior quality product.

Responsibilities

70% Assisting the Head Baker with the production of pastries, breads, desserts, cookies, muffins.

20% Decorating cakes.

10% Maintaining a clean work station and refrigerator.

Qualifications

4-8 years of directing related experience (2 yrs experience in baking).

Must be able to read and understand weights, measures, and recipes in English.

Excellent human relation skills required.

Completion of state Food Handler's course required.

Must have proven cake decorating skills.

Must be able to control and record waste.

Must maintain sanitary conditions as directed by the State Board of Health.

Must be able to perform duties of the Head Baker in their absence.

Must be able to perform under stressful work load and time constraints at early hours.

Must be a self-starter and extremely dependable.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand and move for the entire shift.

Must be able to do repetitive movements and work in conditions of extreme heat or cold.
