As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bacteria Lab Technician. What We're Looking For: We are currently hiring a Boiler and Bacteria Lab Technician. As a Bacteria Lab Technician you will play a pivotal role in ensuring good laboratory practices are being followed when collecting and handling samples. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following all TCF Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) policy/procedures. Maintaining lab security, as directed per GLPs. Door locked when a technician is not present. Logging all incoming supplies, maintaining FIFO, re-ordering supplies to keep safe inventory levels. Collecting micro samples as needed and directed, using proper collection and handling techniques. Performing sample testing as required by TCF and customer specifications, including sample documentation, dilution, plating onto Petri film, reading test results, and saving product retains. Performing tests according to TCF procedures in lab manual, with accuracy, and on a timely basis. Performing environmental swabbing and/or testing per TCF Environmental Monitor Procedure requirements. Performing ATP testing as needed. Send and prepare samples for 3rd party micro lab for confirmation testing, as needed. Accurately recording all test results, on a timely basis, in company database. Notifying team if any test result does not meet TCF specification. Always Keeping lab and work area clean, properly clean/sanitize equipment on a scheduled basis. Monitoring equipment and notify manager if any lab equipment needs repair or replacing. Accurately recording incubator temperatures, supply usage, etc. on documentation as directed. Helping to assure that all lab equipment is properly calibrated, as scheduled, and documented. Assuring that all outdated supplies are not used and properly disposed of. Properly disposing of all lab waste materials per GLP requirements. Keeping Lab Manual up to date with all procedures and documents provided by Corporate QA. Participating in collaborative testing programs (internal and American Proficiency) as directed A willingness to participate in all trainings provided by TCF. Prepare sample requests sent from sales department, collect product, shipping materials, pack sample for UPS/FedEx pick up. Fill out all paperwork required by customers. Performing all other duties as assigned.
