Azure Cloud Engineer

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure CloudOps Infrastructure Backup & Identity Specialist to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Azure cloud operations, infrastructure management, backup solutions, and identity management. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of their Azure cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Cloud Operations:

Manage and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability.

Implement and maintain best practices for Azure resource provisioning, configuration, and optimization.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.

Stay abreast of the latest Azure updates and technologies to enhance the efficiency of cloud operations.

Backup Solutions:

Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions for Azure-based workloads and data.

Develop and maintain backup policies, schedules, and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Perform regular backup testing and validation to guarantee the recoverability of critical systems and data.

Troubleshoot backup failures and optimize backup processes for efficiency.

Identity Management:

Implement and manage Azure Active Directory (AAD) for user authentication and authorization.

Ensure secure and seamless access to Azure resources by configuring and maintaining identity and access management (IAM) policies.

Collaborate with security teams to enforce identity-related security controls and compliance requirements.

Provide expertise in managing Azure Active Directory identities, groups, and roles.

Automation and Scripting:

Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or other relevant tools to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure consistency.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate the deployment and configuration of Azure resources.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in Azure cloud operations, infrastructure management, and backup solutions.

Strong expertise in Azure Active Directory and identity management.

Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell.

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or similar.
