Role Summary/Purpose:


Reporting to the VP, Venmo Marketing Leader of the Venmo-Synchrony partnership, the AVP is responsible for delivering on initiatives. This manager will focus on the product roadmap, track and clear backlog items as well as interface between Venmo and Synchrony to drive program growth including acquisition and lifecycle campaigns. This position requires close partnership PayPal & Venmo's product, marketing and technology teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Foster innovation and deliver e2e customer experience for a Venmo card user

  • Track backlog items and assume the role of project manager and collaborate with the cross functional agile teams in the delivery of new and enhanced functionalities within the native app

  • Partner with the Synchrony Product and Digital teams to capture product enhancement opportunities and aid in the product development

  • Work with business stakeholders to quickly resolve business design and delivery issues and support/drive escalations where required

  • Monitor and measure product metrics and KPIs to define product success and prioritize future capabilities

  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of the PayPal and Venmo business while developing a documented fact-base on various facets of the business, e.g., products, channels, marketing tactics, etc.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 9 years of marketing experience in the credit card or financial services industries

  • 4+ years of technology marketing experience with critical experiences in amongst others: product development, user experience, channel management; and strategic planning and analysis

  • 4+ years of digital technology experience, preferably in credit card or financial services

  • Experience working with technical teams within the IT/Agile framework

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Grade/Level: 11

The salary range for this position is 90 000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.


Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.


Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.





Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • N ew hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
