Job Description: Role Summary/Purpose: As an Assistant Vice President, HR, this role will directly support the Data Analytics organization, as well as provide support on overall HR initiatives within the Growth function. This role will provide high-touch HR support to the Analytics management teams to achieve their business goals through dedicated human capital and talent management activities across the organizations. They will act as a strategic business partner and change agent. This role will have a high impact on culture and will implement programs to positively impact business outcomes and drive a high-performance environment. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. Essential Responsibilities: Partner with Analytics Leadership team and people managers to ensure alignment and implementation of business and HR strategies, policies and programs, and create and deliver cost-effective HR solutions. Partner with Analytics Leadership team and people managers to provide strategic direction and delivery related to recruiting, succession management, talent management and development, employee relations matters, resource planning, compensation and benefits, and performance management. Build and develop leadership capabilities, to improve leadership, succession and people management effectiveness through coaching, identifying programs and facilitating team sessions to raise the bar on performance. Support and drive culture change, in order to meet longer term business goals, strategies and revenue targets. Manage employee relationships on a proactive basis Implement and monitor the Performance Management and Career processes, to develop a performance-driven culture. Facilitate the identification and management of High Potential individuals and identify training, education and development needs customized to the functions. Provide an assessment on current and future employee potential; complete comprehensive Talent Reviews and succession plans; identify and be aware of potential Talent at all levels of the organization. Identify key human resource needs and partner with business leaders to provide a full complement of services to the organization. Partner with external staffing organizations to develop knowledge of key talent and to foster a diverse candidate pipeline. Lead training initiatives, employee development and communication programs across the function. Translate plans into actionable results. Monitor adherence to all relevant Human Resource-related policies and practices. Rigorously manage HR compliance in accordance with applicable employment laws, state and government regulations and Synchrony policies and procedures. Manage employee relations concerns/escalated issues within client group. Execute/translate US HR policies and procedures Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned Qualifications/Requirements: 4+ years HR experience A bachelor's degree in a relevant HR or Business-related field; in lieu of a degree 8+ years of relevant HR experience or closely related experience Experience with HR functions such as compensation, benefits EEO, employee relations, staffing, and practices and policies Desired Characteristics: Business Leadership Program Graduate Master's Degree in Human Resources or Business-Related Field An organized approach to work, with a flair for problem solving and the ability to prioritize while working across multiple projects Excellent communication skills, and the confidence to influence and present to colleagues from a diverse range of levels and backgrounds A proven record of handling employee issues effectively with empathy and discretion Strong analytical skills Grade/Level: 11 The salary range for this position is 90 000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle. Eligibility Requirements: You must be 18 years or older You must have a high school diploma or equivalent You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
