AVP, Credit Analytics - Loss Forecasting, Synchrony Bank, Stamford, CT.Monitor the key portfolio credit performance metrics on a regular basis at client and segment level. Analyze model based forecast outcomes to identify underlying causes of emerging trends. Inform stakeholders about expected portfolio performance under different conditions. Implement AtLas suite of models to identify emerging trends within large volumes of data and metrics. Engage cross functional teams to drive changes in strategy. Monitor macro-economic environment and forecasts and inform assumptions and context for forecasts. Collaborate with other analysts to inform forecast assumptions for AtLas suite of models. Assess reasonability of outcomes in context of the assumptions and in comparison, to prior forecasts. Identify areas of risks and opportunities between model-based forecasts. Prepare and present materials on forecast assumptions and outcomes to senior functional leaders.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience.

Must have two (2) years of experience with/in:

  • Predictive modeling/estimation to analyze outcomes in areas such as Loss forecasting, ALLL/ACL, Stress testing, or other adjacent areas with consumer credit impairment estimation;
  • Analyzing credit performance on large and diverse consumer credit portfolios;
  • Using data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI;
  • Utilizing SAS or SQL for data mining;
  • Utilizing open-ended source tools such as Python, PySpark and/or R; and
  • Working in Risk, Credit, or Collections in Consumer Finance.
