AVD SPECIALIST - REMOTE
A national financial services firm is seeking an experienced AVD SME to join their team. The AVD Specialist will be the go-to person responsible for the efficient provisioning, presentation, and packaging of applications within the Azure environment. This role requires a nuanced understanding of AVD, distinct from general Azure knowledge. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing AVD for an enterprise company, with a proven track record of successfully migrating up to 1000s of applications.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the go-to expert for all things related to AVD within the organization.
- Facilitate the transition of applications from Citrix to Azure, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the internal Azure team to conduct due diligence and implement proactive measures for a stable AVD environment.
- Assist in reskilling the Citrix team as we phase out legacy systems.
- Engage in tactical planning with the management team to address immediate and long-term AVD needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of direct experience managing AVD in an enterprise setting.
- Deep knowledge of AVD intricacies, not limited to general Azure expertise.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct thorough investigations into performance issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain technical details effectively.
