Job Description:
Our client located in South Portland, ME has an immediate need for an AV Technician to join their team. The Audio-Video Specialist will be responsible for the installation, and maintenance of audio-visual systems. This role requires a strong technical background in AV technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and the Manager of Audio-Visual Technologies to ensure the successful execution of AV installations and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to faculty and staff, addressing any AV system issues promptly and professionally.
- Establish and maintain strong faculty and staff relationships by delivering outstanding customer service.
- Offer preventive maintenance plans to clients and coordinate regular system check-ups.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to understand AV requirements, objectives, and timelines.
- Assist the project team in the implementation and execution of AV installations, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
- Conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance checks on AV systems to guarantee flawless operation. Ensure that all AV installations meet industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in AV technologies, especially in Crestron and Extron products.
- Participate in relevant industry conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Make recommendations for new policies and procedures for IT implantation and use for students, faculty and staff.
- Participates in problem solving and troubleshooting IT issues.
- Installing and correcting AV equipment as needed.
Required
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Experience with AV Installations
- Experience with Crestron and Extron products
