Position: Automobile Production Engineer (Rockwell Allen-Bradly PLC5) - 316072 Location: Dearborn MI (REMOTE) Duration: 12+ Months MOI: Phone & WebEx Direct Client: FORD MOTORS

Rockwell Allen-Bradly PLC5 and ControlLogix experience is mandatory

Position Description:
Provide direction for controls equipment locations for safety, maintenance and production consideration for tool install and through launch. Verify all Ford safety standards are followed Analyze customer requirements and map to NGAVS systems design Develop process flow diagrams based on customer input Own for the integration of NGAVS with Ford Vehicle Operations tooling and process control systems Work with vendor controls engineers to install, test, and debug standard NGAVS logic and drivers Create custom PLC code for plant unique situations or modify standard templates and AOLs to address issues identified by others Modify standard HMI code for AllenBradley PanelView HMIs for plant specific requirements May also direct the efforts of others, including agency personnel or third-party controls integrators, depending on the project assigned To support New Model Program build events (TT, PP, MP1&2) the candidate may be required to work during nonstandard hours, such as evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Skills Required:
Rockwell Allen-Bradly PLC5 and ControlLogix in an automobile manufacturing environment Rockwell AllenBradley PanelView HMI s Rockwell Factory Talk Production Center Experience with SmartEye vehicle identification Experience with SICK barcode scanners or equivalent (e.g. Keyence, Cognex) Experiences in Ethernet, Device Net, Profinet, Profibus, etc., networking, especially Ethernet/IP Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with all levels of operating management Strong interpersonal skills to build close working relationship with customers

Skills Preferred:
Demonstrated aptitude to learn and apply new technologies Demonstrated ability to work as an effective member in the team Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Experience Required:
5+ years of experience with Allen-Bradly PLC5 and ControlLogix in an automobile manufacturing environment 5+ years of experience with AllenBradley PanelView HMI s
Experience Preferred:
Ford Assembly plant experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application suite Working knowledge of AutoCAD drawing package
Education Required:
B.S./M.S. Electrical Engineering preferred. Computer Science degree with emphasis on Controls Systems or Manufacturing Systems also acceptable.
Education Preferred:
Significant applicable experience in lieu of degree will also be considered
Additional Safety Training/Licensing/Personal Protection Requirements:
Additional Information :
Must be legally able to travel to and work in U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Must be able to travel extensive to plant launch sites during critical phases of each new model program
Must be physically able to work for long hours on the assembly plant floor (body, paint, and final); including walking extended distances and climbing stairs/ladders to overhead mezzanines where equipment may be located Residence of Memphis TN is a plus
