Job Title: Automation Technician
Location: Bridgeview, IL
Shift: Rotating Night Shift: 7:00 pm-7:00 am. 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off. They'll work every other weekend and it's a rotating shift.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking two adept Automation Technicians to join us at our Bridgeview, IL plant. In this role, you will assume responsibility for the meticulous upkeep and rectification of all automation systems deployed within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting of PLC systems, with a specific emphasis on Allen Bradley software; proficiency in alternative platforms is advantageous.
- Execute meticulous control circuit troubleshooting procedures to guarantee seamless equipment operation.
- Demonstrate adeptness in troubleshooting 480v electrical systems and AC/DC motors, proficiently utilizing multimeters or volt meters.
- Undertake repair and maintenance tasks on automation systems, exhibiting a readiness to engage in hands-on activities when necessary.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in PLC troubleshooting, with additional programming capabilities being highly beneficial.
- Proficient in control circuit troubleshooting techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of 480v electrical systems and AC/DC motors.
- Flexibility to perform manual repair and maintenance duties.
Desirable:
- Possession of technical qualifications or certifications, particularly in Industrial Technology or PLC Programming.
- Familiarity with a range of automation equipment including DJS Baggers, Trim Press Automation, Case Erectors, Packagers, and conveyor systems.
- Previous exposure to maintenance activities related to packaging equipment or machinery.
