The Software Consulting Engineer position supports and delivers Automation Software Consulting services to Cisco's Tier 1 Customers in the US Public Sector market. You will be "Cisco's face to the customer," working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment as a visible contributor delivering on our commitments. This position requires a motivated, experienced Customer Delivery Software Consulting Engineer to support Automation and Cloud Operations in a large strategic enterprise organization aligned with daring ground-breakin g agendas. Who You'll Work With The Automation team comprises geographically dispersed engineers that design, architect, and support work on critical networks with innovative Cisco solutions. This team is leading the way in providing foundational engineering and operations support with the expectation for networks and data centers to perform at the highest possible levels. We work with our customers to prepare their infrastructure for future architectures and solutions and assist them in navigating through proof of concepts and introduction. Must have TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Clearance CISSP, Security+ or equivalent required Proven experience in Software Development in Python Experience with Software Design, deploying, and maintaining software-defin ed solutions Experience with Docker, Linux, Kubernetes, and Networking Concepts Experience with software integration with Web Service APIs (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON, and NETCONF Ability to apply critical thinking to function effectively in ambiguous circumstances Successfully communicates difficult concepts.
