HotFoot Recruiters is excited to partner with a multinational sheet metal manufacturing company to fill the position of Automation Engineer. The role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing automated solutions to enhance our manufacturing processes.
Position: Automation Engineer
Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire
Location: North Phoenix, Arizona
Pay Range: 100K-140K DOE
Responsibilities: - Design and integrate cutting-edge automation systems (like TruBend Cell 500 or AMADA Bending Automation) to seamlessly enhance sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Develop and optimize control software for robotic arms and automation equipment, ensuring precise manipulation and shaping of sheet metal components.
- Champion process improvement by identifying opportunities for automation and implementing innovative solutions to boost productivity, quality, and efficiency while reducing lead times and costs.
- Maintain optimal performance through routine maintenance of automation systems and provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Leverage automation technology for quality assurance to guarantee all sheet metal components meet strict tolerances and specifications.
- Empower operators and maintenance personnel through comprehensive training on automation system operation and maintenance. Maintain detailed documentation for future reference.
- Prioritize a safety-first approach by ensuring all automation systems comply with safety regulations and standards throughout design, installation, and operation.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams (manufacturing engineers, production managers, quality assurance personnel) to drive continuous improvement and innovation in sheet metal fabrication.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record in automation engineering, with a focus on sheet metal fabrication.
- Working knowledge of TruBend Cell 500 or AMADA Bending Automation systems (preferred).
- Expertise in programming languages like PLC, C , or Python.
- A keen eye for detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
