Audiologist Assistant

For over 26 years, the American Family Hearing Center has provided exceptional hearing healthcare to patients in the Jersey Shore. They are actively looking for a medical professional who is passionate about impacting patients' lives and community to join their team as the AUDIOLOGIST ASSISTANT.

The AUDIOLOGIST ASSISTANT will perform daily clinical and administrative tasks and duties, improving patient flow and practice efficiency.

The ideal AUDIOLOGIST ASSISTANT candidate is dependable, ready to learn, and enthusiastic about assisting people with hearing loss.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assisting the Audiologist in providing audiological services.

Performing basic "clean and checks" and repairs or maintenance on hearing aids

Changing or cleaning tubing, domes, wax guards, battery doors, microphone covers, and windscreens.

Troubleshooting hearing aid problems

Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies and equipment.

Counseling patients on care and use of their devices.

Assisting with clerical and administrative responsibilities, including greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurance benefits

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree preferred)

Experience working in a Medical Practice (Medical Assistant, Dental Assistant preferred)

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and collaborate with others.

Commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Experience in Hearing Healthcare is a huge advantage.
