Responsibilities

Gregory P Helfrich & Associates (Claims Litigation Office for State Farm located in Summit, NJ) seeks a litigation attorney to join our team. Candidate must have excellent communication, organization, time management, and technology skills. Position requires resourcefulness and strong work ethic with the ability to independently manage the defense of personal injury litigation from answer to trial while providing superior customer service. Candidates with 3 to 5 years insurance defense or litigation experience preferred, with trial experience a plus. State Farm emphasizes the development of our attorneys. You will be working in a hybrid environment, with some required presence in the office and some remote. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.



Qualifications

  • Law degree from an ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey and a member in good standing with the state bar
  • 3 to 5 years of experience preferably in insurance defense
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Strong automation/technical skills
  • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work opportunity
