OVERVIEW Our client, a litigation firm is seeking Associate Attorneys. Ideal candidates should desire to be a trial advocate with strong oral and written communication skills, ability to provide thorough legal analysis, while desiring to work in a flexible and collegial environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO Assist senior attorneys in preparing legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing cases Draft correspondence and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel Attend client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials as needed Help with case management tasks including organizing documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines Review and summarize deposition transcripts, witness statements, and other evidence Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop case strategy and tactics Stay updated on developments in relevant areas of law and legal procedures Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and maintaining client records QUALIFICATIONS 0-4 years' experience. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Nevada Admission to the state bar (or eligibility to sit for the bar exam) Strong academic record, including relevant coursework in litigation, civil procedure, and legal writing a PLUS Excellent research skills, including proficiency in using legal research databases such as LexisNexis or Westlaw Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Prior internships or work experience in a legal setting PLUS Familiarity with relevant software applications such as Microsoft Office and legal case management software Willingness to learn and adapt to the demands of a fast-paced litigation practice Recent graduates who passed the July Nevada Bar as well as recent February 2024 examinees are encouraged to apply.
