As a Systems Associate Engineer, you will support design, development and test of systems in support of the U.S Navy's strategic navigation submarine programs. Tasks include Development and Analysis of system requirements, System Architecture, Preliminary and detailed model-based system design, Development of specifications and test procedures, Conduct Subsystem and System Integration and Test, Conduct formal system acceptance testing, Problem documentation and resolution in support of in-house and fielded systems. Additionally, candidate will be expected to support installation and training as required.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, make effective and timely decisions, solve challenging technical problems, and facilitate process changes to streamline activities.
- Experience with planning, organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively with little supervision.
- Contain a breadth of knowledge in various technologies, modern networking, communications protocols, and experience with navigation principals and application. Familiarity with GPS, SONAR, RADAR or general signal processing. - Experience with all aspects of Model-Based Systems Engineering including behavioral analysis, system modeling, requirement traceability, performance analysis, simulation and test automation.
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience generating system level, software and interface requirements using a Model-based System Engineering Method. Ability to integrate multiple system components to form a system of systems solution.
- Experience with DOORS or other similar requirements management tool
- This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
- The position is based out of the Mitchel Field, NY facility.
- This position will require on-site presence approximately 50% of the time with the flexibility of working remotely occasionally. WHO WE ARE

The mission of the Precision Navigation team in Mitchel Field is to provide highly accurate Navigation information to the Strategic Weapon System for support of Trident Missile launch as well as providing aiding for navigation of the ship. Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance Experience with planning, organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating activities to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively with little supervision. Familiarity with GPS, SONAR, RADAR or general signal processing. Experience with DOORs or other similar requirements management tool Experience with desktop applications usage (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Skills:
Experience with agile development methodologies. Experience with inertial navigators
Experience with MATLAB for post-test analysis
Experience in model-based engineering using SysML or UML. Experience with higher level software languages
Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, make effective and timely decisions, solve challenging technical problems, and facilitate process changes to streamline activities.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off The base range for this position in New York is $95,817.77 - $152,867.35.
