Overview:

The Associate Relationship Manager position works with senior team members to acquire, manage and expand established MMB relationships, to develop client and prospect outreach plans and to build quality referral sources. The Associate RM serves as a supporting contact to provide products and services which addresses the financial needs of clients. Continuation of credit skills development, training and participation in credit transaction activities are also important aspects of the MMB Associate RM role. This position collaborates with various corporate partners to build and manage full banking relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Sales & Marketing Support - Works with MMB Relationship Managers on idea generation and presentations for prospects and clients. Identifies cross-sell and relationship expansion opportunities. Interacts with Centers of Influence (COIs) to expand existing relationships and to build momentum with prospects. Develop pitch books and presentations for use with prospects and clients.
  • Credit Transaction Support - Works on credit transactions in partnership with Relationship Manager(s), underwriting and portfolio management teams to complete analysis, Strategy Discussion memos, Pre-Screen memos, and industry research.
  • Prospect and COI Development - Supports new client acquisition through research, idea generation, outreach strategies and tactics plus prioritization based on competitive intel in local markets. Represents the bank in the community by attending and participating in civic, community and networking events.
  • Relationship Development - Supports the process of, or directly handles, client and prospect activities and relationships. Refers and collaborates with sales partners or other associates as appropriate to expand and/or win relationships.
  • Operations and Administration - Comply with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, and delegated authorities to manage risk related to credit, operational, reputational, regulatory and legal aspects of personal interactions, client transactions and financial exposures. Complete required training by established deadlines.

Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Commercial Underwriting, Credit Experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Commercial Underwriting, Credit Experience
    Preferred Education: Bachelors degree
    Preferred Area of Study: Business Administration, Marketing, Economics/Finance
    Preferred Area of Experience: 1-2 Years Commercial Banking
