Job Overview: Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to join our Project Management Team to assist with substation projects in Syracuse, New York. Candidates must have experience working on utility projects. Responsibilities & Duties: Supports Project Managers in running substation projects Prepares reports for multiple business areas Involvement in work management, scheduling, and procurement activities Collaborate with multiple business areas to manage business processes Perform a wide range of analyst assignments and resolve recurring problems independently Responsible for project updates and metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with corporate and function procedures Develop effective working relationships among all project team members, stakeholders, and project resources including managing external vendors, consultants, and contractors as appropriate Parse data and present it in a meaningful format Anticipate upcoming responsibilities or needs and use initiative appropriately Utilize SAP to: Prepare purchase requests and purchase orders Troubleshoots and resolves errors or issues with attention to detail Processes receipts, accruals, and invoices as part of the purchasing process Process Work Orders Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field and minimum 3 years of experience or Associates Degree with 5 years of experience Utility construction and project management experience is required Experience in utiltiy projects is preferred, most importantley in Substation Facilities Requires expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel utilization of pivot tables, v lookup, algorithms, and other excel functions) Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing Must have a pleasant manner; able to work collaboratively in a team environment Must have customer service oriented "can do" approach to work Must have superior organizational skills and accuracy Excellent problem-solving and people skills are also required Able to travel to work sites as needed (less than 10%)
