About the Role

The Associate or Sr. Associate - Investments is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities, monitoring portfolio companies and supporting the Investments Team in all activities throughout the transaction process. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the investment team across all stages of the investment process, from deal sourcing and evaluation to due diligence and portfolio management.

Responsibilities:

Proactively source and track viable deal opportunities

Build and maintain relationships with investment bankers, brokers, and other sell-side advisors for deal pipeline development

Manage deal process under leadership of senior deal professionals

Research and analyze investment target's competitive position, market size and industry dynamics and assess risk and opportunity

Perform due diligence, including internal diligence initiatives, coordination of functional operations team, and all 3rd party diligence providers and advisors throughout transaction process

Create financial models and investment memos

Attend Investment Committee meetings, develop skills to present investment memos to Investment Committee

Assist and support team with structuring and arranging debt with lenders and investors

Continuously monitor and evaluate portfolio company performance in collaboration with leadership, conduct valuations of portfolio companies quarterly

Assist in managing co-investor relationships

Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA or relevant graduate degree is highly preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or management consulting, with a proven track record in financial modeling and analysis.

Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough financial analysis and valuations.

Experience in and understanding of due diligence in financial transactions and deal structure

Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical and advanced Excel skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with team members, portfolio company management, and external partners.

Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and analyses clearly and concisely.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

High level of initiative and self-motivation, with a strong desire to contribute to the success of the team and the firm.

Fluency in Spanish preferred
