The P-8 Technical Publications team is seeking an Associate or Mid-level Flight Data Technical Specialist to support our domestic and international programs. The P-8 is the United States Navy's newest multi-mission maritime patrol aircraft. Candidate will be working as part of an integrated team providing support documentation for the various P-8 customers and will report to the Boeing Global Services (BGS) engineering function. The position will provide support to the Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) programs to include the KC-46, VC-25B and E-7 as required. The position is based in Seal Beach, CA. Position Responsibilities: Evaluates detailed engineering information, drawings and supplier data, to integrate into engineering and operational data packages for flight crews Supports change management for aircraft systems impacting flight crew data Maintains flight crew procedures in association with the technical pilot team Designs and develops flight operations data and documents Performs engineering research for customer specific requirements and resolution of customer problems Performs engineering research in support of customer specific requirements, problems and concerns Evaluates customer digital data and publishing system's needs including XML formats Creates tools and processes to gain efficiencies related to FCOM and QRH production Support the integration and development of other technical publications as needed This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future. This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience): Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience 1+ years' experience in support of aerospace products, including commercial or military airplane flight operations 1+ years of experience working around live aircraft and flight operations E xperience with Project management tools and practices as well as knowledge of project and software implementation 1+ years' experience developing and delivering technical publications Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience): 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Customer support experience Experience in a team environment Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience Typical Education & Experience: Associate (Level 2) - Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).
