As part of the Medical Affairs team at Azurity, the Medical Director will play a key role in supporting both marketed and pipeline products. The Medical Director will have medical leadership responsibility in the execution of activities related to investigator and expert (KOL/HCP) outreach, investigator sponsored trials, company sponsored trials and registries, publication planning, medical education, scientific communications, Advisory Boards/Steering Committees planning, and business development reviews.The candidate in this role will help oversee the execution of Azurity's Medical strategy, working with cross-functional teams to guide and further strengthen the development of Azurity's product portfolio. This position will report to the Senior Director of Medical of Affairs.

Responsibilities: Role and Responsibilities
  • Helps lead the development and execution of the Medical Affairs' strategy across products and TAs
  • Works with the Medical Affairs team to help define and develop KOL management plans (working closely with the MSL team)
  • Supports the Medical effort to define and continually hone branded product strategy in compliant collaboration with Commercial
  • Develops and refines publication plans for new and existing assets at Azurity
  • Supports communication strategy for data generation and communication plan
  • Provides Medical support, education, and guidance to Commercial Marketing, Sales, & Market Access teams. Support will include presentations, training, promotional materials review, and the rapid and reliable fulfillment of requests for Medical input
  • Ensures internal knowledge on key projects by communicating on activities, Ad Boards, key results / project updates, and external meetings
  • Works with Senior Director of Medical Affairs to build out and execute digital engagement plan
  • Has a crucial role in the development of yearly Medical Plans across products, making sure the Medical strategy is aligned with the identified critical success factors for brands
  • Responsible for identifying the unmet medical needs across Azurity's product portfolio and how the overall Medical strategy and tactics can address these unmet needs
  • Supports management of vendor activities
  • Assists Senior Director of Medical Affairs in asset reviews for potential acquisitions
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • MD, PhD, NP or PharmD Required
  • 5+ years relevant experience in biologics/pharmaceutical industry are a plus
  • Experience leading successful launches is a plus
  • Strong leadership/management and analytical skills, ability to deliver on project objectives in a timely manner required
  • Excellent writing, excel, PowerPoint and organizational skills required
  • Highly self-directed
  • Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to senior leaders, cross-functional and cross-organizational teams
