Our employees are not only part of history. NGMS is seeking an Associate Engineer Systems to join our SEIT & Product Support organization in Baltimore, MD. This position seeks an Engineer to support the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages ( DMSMS ) Logistics team. The primary focus of this role will be reviewing product BOM's for DMSMS risks and providing appropriate mitigation solution based on comprehensive logistics analysis. Additional duties within the organization include: perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. The successful candidate will apply experience in data analysis, maintenance processes and product support to serve as a Systems Engineer with a focus on logistics engineering in a variety of product areas supporting US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps and other Customers. Roles and Responsibilities: Reviewing handbooks for technical adequacy
Assisting in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
Contributing to proposal efforts
Interacting with team leads to interpret Customer needs and requirements
Participating in and presenting technical information in team and customer meetings
Performing logistics product support analyses to identify parts, equipment, activities and skillset necessary to maintain systems and retain operational availability
Coordinating with other team members to integrate sparing and level of repair analyses results into Logistics Support Analysis.
Coordinate with lab engineers and FSRs to locate and identify assets.
Work with team to identify DMSMS items. Work on mitigation and solutions. Track inventory of DMS items, and recommend LTB of DMS items to customer.
Manage system items for major customers, and multiple sites. CONUS and OCONUS. Provide spares status and locations to all Operating Unit members.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science, engineering, or related discipline with 0 years of experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Candidate must be a US Citizen
The ability to obtain/maintain an Active DoD secret clearance Proficiency with MS Excel
Able to take direction, work remotely, and independently
Prior experience reading and interpreting engineering drawingsPreferred Qualifications:
Ability to use data and information to support ILS analysis, provisioning, preparing documentation, and implementing capabilities to include work products such as: Logistics Support Analysis and Logistic Support Data Development/Logistics Management Information (LMI) summary Reports
Level of Repair Analysis understanding
Sparing and spares analysis/Recommendation
Maintenance Planning and Recommendations
Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP)
Experience with Logistic Product Database software tools such as SLICwave, PowerLogJ, etc.
Experience with military logistic support on acquisition programs
Prior experience utilizing relational database software
Advanced knowledge in utilizing MS Office Suite including: Word, Excel and Access
Knowledge of Integrated Product support elements and GEIA-STD-0007-B
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
Willingness to physically work, and travel between NGC buildings in Baltimore area.
Willingness to learn.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Salary Range: $51,700 - $77,500 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
