Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Associate-Level Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineering) to become part of the Aerospace Operations team in Jacksonville, Florida. The selected candidate will work with a team of electrical engineers to provide engineering support to the modification of aircraft such as the P-8. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and providing dispositions for the avionic and electrical system modifications and repair of nonconforming situations. The team is responsible for working with both internal Boeing teams, suppliers and customers all over the world. Position Responsibilities: Assesses and resolves product/process issues through the product lifecycle.
Leads research of technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.
Leads others to analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.
Develops and implements product/process improvements.
Uses innovative approaches and unique applications to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations.
Analyzes reported problems for potential safety issues; recommends and manages complex resolution.
Leads develop of interim and final solutions.
Provides design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.
Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment.
Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.
Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Leads activities for on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support teams.
Leads the design of electrical repairs.
May be asked to support additional military related programs. This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Engineering.
1+ years' experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
1+ years' experience aerospace manufacturing operations and/or manufacturing support.
Material Review Board Certification experience or similar Liaison Engineering experience.
Ability to work 2nd shift. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): ABET Accredited degree in Electrical Engineering.
Excellent cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication.
Modification Engineering experience.
Relevant technological knowledge.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead others, work independently, and in a team environment. Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
