ATCC is seeking an entry level Associate Laboratory Technician on-site 5 days/wk in Manassas, VA. As part of the BioProcessing team, this Technician is responsible for kitting and preparing final products. These activities include shrink banding, confirming lot numbers, inserting vials into the kit box, applying labels for production, counting inventory and ordering lab supplies.


The Associate Laboratory Technician supports the work by maintaining laboratory equipment and inventorying levels of supplies. They generally work on problems of limited scope and receive detailed instructions on work performed. They apply organizational policies and procedures to resolve routine issues while learning to apply professional concepts.



Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Operations: Manufacturing or testing of biological products by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and other controlled documents.
  • Maintain laboratory safety, operations, equipment, and supplies.
    Documentation: Maintain production batch records in compliance with good laboratory practices. Collect, analyze, and report data, ensuring meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma and 0-2 years' experience or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to function as a participant in a team environment.
  • Ability to interpret freeze dryer and cryomed run data.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make good decisions.
  • Communicates effectively with ATCC programs as well as customer and technical service needs.

Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
