Associate Lab Technician (Night Shift) Modern Hydrogen Bothell, WA - Full Time (Contract-to-hire) - Onsite Modern Hydrogen has an immediate opening for a highly qualified Associate Lab Technician (Night Shift) on our Engineering team. In this role, you will operate test stands to validate Modern Hydrogen's groundbreaking methane pyrolysis technology. You will work closely with a world-class team of mechanical engineers, machinists, physicists, and chemists. The primary responsibilities of this role include: Operating and maintaining mechanical and chemical processing equipment per standard work instructions. Maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Identifying, analyzing, and implementing improvements to work instructions. Supporting a variety of projects in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment. Modern Hydrogen is a Seattle-based cleantech startup. We decarbonize natural gas into clean hydrogen at the point of use. Typical Skills and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of industry experience in oil and gas, chemical processing, or a similar field. Able and willing to work a rotating shift schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime. Able and willing to wear personal protective equipment to perform required job tasks, including hearing protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, and respiratory protection. Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing team member. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Bonus Skills and Experience: Associate Degree in an engineering or related discipline 5+ years of industry experience in oil and gas, chemical processing, or a similar field. Experience maintaining and operating chemical processing equipment. Desire and ability to be a leader in personnel safety and teamwork dynamics. Ability to work independently of direct supervision. Impeccable organization, prioritization, time management, and planning skills. Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
